MY SERVICES
I regularly visit archives throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, and specialise in these areas. I also research throughout the United Kingdom.
I will provide transcripts of documents and copies where these are available; examples searched include:
· Birth/Marriage/Death records
· Census records throughout the UK for 1841-1911
· Census records for the USA & Canada
· Passenger & Immigration Lists
· Military Records
· Hearth Tax Records
· Monumental Inscriptions
· Manorial Documents
· Parish Chest documents (e.g. settlement orders, bastardy bonds, poor law records)
· Quarter Sessions records
The above list is not exhaustive and is contingent on the documents/records surviving and being available for examination.
All research is written up as an easy to read report/book, illustrated with old photos, census transcripts, maps, family trees, etc. [where available]. I will also supply a printed Family Tree either on canvas or paper depending on your wishes.
I charge £18 per hour and can start any search from just two hours research. Free consultation is offered and I will always liaise with you if I think further research is possible.
Gift vouchers are also available and these start from as little as £32 for two hours; contact me for more details.
I will always try to exhaust the various possibilities in the search for your ancestor(s), but sometimes it has to be recognised that the historical sources are inadequate or may not have survived, and it is sometimes not possible to go further with a particular lineage.
